1. Who We Are

NØRVE is a Belgian platform that acts as a decision layer between coaches and athletes in endurance sport. The platform takes into account how you respond to daily life — physically and mentally — and estimates the impact on your athletic performance by integrating physiological data, subjective check-ins, and contextual factors into a daily readiness report.

2. Definitions

Platform: the NØRVE web application accessible via norve.be. User: any person who registers and uses the Platform, either as an athlete or as a coach. Athlete: a User who completes daily check-ins and receives readiness reports. Coach: a User who accesses a dashboard with readiness data for linked athletes. Report: the daily readiness output generated by the Platform based on input data. Check-in: the daily input session completed by an Athlete.

3. Access and Registration

3.1 Eligibility

The Platform is intended for users aged 16 and older. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at tobias@norve.be if you suspect unauthorised access.

3.3 Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and use of the Platform.

4. Description of the Service

4.1 What NØRVE Provides

NØRVE provides: a daily check-in module for athletes, an AI-assisted readiness report based on physiological, subjective, and contextual data, a Mental Readiness Profile built over time, a coach dashboard with aggregated athlete readiness data, and weekly pattern reports.

4.2 Nature of the Reports

NØRVE reports are informational and supportive in nature. They are designed to open a conversation and provide context — not to replace the judgment of a qualified coach, physician, or other healthcare professional. NØRVE does not provide medical diagnoses, medical advice, treatment recommendations, or therapeutic interventions. Any training decisions remain the full responsibility of the athlete and/or coach.

4.3 Pilot Phase

NØRVE is currently in a pilot phase. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We will communicate significant changes in advance where possible.

5. Medical Disclaimer

NØRVE is not a medical device and does not constitute medical advice.

The readiness scores, mental state indicators, and training recommendations generated by the Platform are based on self-reported data and wearable integrations. They are intended as a supporting tool only.

You should always consult a qualified medical professional before making changes to your training based on health concerns. If you experience symptoms of injury, illness, overtraining, or mental health distress, seek professional help.

NØRVE explicitly disclaims any liability for health outcomes resulting from decisions made based on Platform output.

6. Coach–Athlete Relationship

6.1 Linking

An athlete can be linked to one or more coaches via the Platform. The athlete consents to this at registration or at the time of linking.

6.2 Coach Access

A coach with whom you are linked can view your readiness scores, report summaries, and key drivers. The coach cannot modify your personal data.

6.3 Termination of Link

An athlete can terminate the link with a coach at any time via their account settings. Upon termination, the coach loses access to the athlete's data going forward. Historical data remains accessible to the athlete.

6.4 Coach Responsibility

Coaches are responsible for using athlete data solely for the purpose of athletic coaching and guidance. Sharing athlete data with third parties without explicit consent is prohibited.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, provide false or misleading information, attempt to gain unauthorised access to other user accounts or Platform systems, reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the Platform, use the Platform in a way that could harm, overload, or impair its functioning, or share your account credentials with third parties.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logic, scoring systems, and reports generated by NØRVE are the intellectual property of NØRVE / Tobias Wijckmans, unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform or its output without prior written consent.

Your personal input data (check-in responses, wearable data) remains yours. You grant NØRVE a limited licence to process this data for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Integrations

NØRVE integrates with third-party services including: Intervals.icu (wearable wellness data), Google Firebase (data storage and backend processing), Anthropic (AI-assisted report generation), and Vercel (platform hosting). NØRVE is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services. Your use of connected services is subject to their own terms and conditions.

10. Pricing and Payment

10.1 Pilot Phase

During the current pilot phase, access to NØRVE may be provided at no cost or at a reduced rate. Any agreed pricing will be communicated separately.

10.2 Future Pricing

NØRVE reserves the right to introduce or adjust pricing. You will be notified of any pricing changes with reasonable advance notice before they take effect.

10.3 Billing

Where applicable, invoicing is on a per-athlete, per-month basis directed to the coach. Coaches are responsible for ensuring their athletes are aware of the service being used.

11. Availability and Modifications

NØRVE aims for high platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: NØRVE is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform. NØRVE is not liable for decisions made by athletes or coaches based on Platform output. NØRVE's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the 3 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

13.2 By NØRVE

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium. We always prefer to resolve disputes amicably. Before initiating legal proceedings, please contact us at wijckmanstobias@gmail.com to seek a solution.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notification in the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is always available at norve.be/terms.
